The Company was founded by Robert D. (Bob) Rash, Sr., in the Dallas, Texas area. Prior to founding the Company, Bob was a Valuation Engineer with the firm Latham, Stults and Rash for 10 years. In that role, he served as an appraiser of complex properties on behalf of school districts, counties and cities. In 1972, he formed Robert D. Rash & Associates to represent taxpayers with their property tax needs and was the majority owner of the Company. Over the next 30 years, Bob and his partners expanded the Company and grew it to become one of the most respected nationwide property tax service firms. In December 2002, Bob retired as President of the Company. The Next Generation; Beginning in 2003, Robert D. Rash, Jr. assumed the role of President and CEO of the Company. Robert had been with the firm for 10 years from 1985 to 1995 in various management roles. From 1995 to 2002, Robert served as a Sr. Manager with KPMG Consulting in their Business Development organization. The firm’s ownership was also reorganized in 2003 to reflect the new leadership structure. The management team has worked diligently to strengthen our reputation as a relationship driven, service oriented firm. Significant investments have been made in hiring the best talent in our industry, upgrading our property tax technology systems to better serve our clients needs, and expanding our marketing efforts to further strengthen the company. On November 1, 2007, Rash & Associates was acquired by Duff & Phelps Corporation (“Duff & Phelps”), a leading provider of independent financial advisory and investment banking services.
