Larry Lovrencic is an Executive Director of First Pacific Securities Pty Ltd and is the editor of the Institutional FX publications. Institutional FX provides foreign exchange markets research to institutional clients world-wide. Larry is co-author, with Alex Douglas and Peter Pontikis, of the book FX Trading : An Australian Guide to Trading Foreign Exchange. He has more than 20 years experience trading financial markets and more than 10 years experience lecturing and setting and marking assignment and examination papers in Technical Analysis for tertiary students. In August 2006 Larry presented a two day Technical Analysis seminar on behalf the Vietnamese Securities Dealers Association and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) in Hanoi, Vietnam. Larry is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment by the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Larry also holds the Diploma in Technical Analysis awarded by the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA) and has also been awarded the designation of Ceritfied Financial Technician by the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA), which is based in New York. He is the Chair of IFTAs Accreditation Committee and Vice-Chair of IFTA’s Education and Body of Knowledge Committees. Larry is a Vice President of the Australian Professional Technical Analysts (APTA) Inc, is also a founding member and a member of the Management Committee. He is a Life Member of the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA). He is also a former Vice-president of the ATAA and a former member of the Board of Directors. Larry chairs the Advisory Committee for the E171 Specialised Techniques in Technical Analysis subject offered by the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) as part of the Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and Master of Finance degree. He is a principal lecturer for the E114 Technical Analysis subject and is also a member of the E114 Task Force.
