Our main office is located in the Ecotrust Natural Capital Center in Portland, Oregon—a building that serves as the hub for many environmental organizations and activities in one of the most sustainable cities in the country. We often bring our dogs to work and we enjoy lunches on the buildings terrace and green roof. Our concerns about the ecological crisis began long before we started Portfolio 21 in 1999, and we continue to critically examine our assumptions and approach every day. We believe that global warming is better described as climate destabilization and recognize that this also means economic and investment destabilization.
