Silverthorne Furniture Inc., dba Billiards & Bars is a unique family business which custom designs and builds pool tables and home bars. The owners, John and Kimberley Jones have been in the billiard industry since 1973. They grew a retail business from one store to eight stores selling major brand pool tables. In 1985 The Joneses decided to manufacturer and market their own pool tables. This decision has given them the ability to control the quality of the products and the flexibility to design and build tables to meet individual needs. For years, John and Kimberley, their son Eric, as well as other members of the family, have marketed their pool tables to retailers throughout the country. They opened their shop, which is nestled in the beautiful countryside of Southern Warren County, New Jersey, to the public several years ago. The Joneses found themselves sharing fresh ideas with couples decorating their family rooms. Instead of being stuck in an unfinished basement, the pool tables have now become the center of the family entertainment room. The response was so positive that in 2002 the Joneses made the major decision to market directly to the public, thereby eliminating the middlemen. It is now possible for the consumer to save hundreds of dollars by buying direct. To facilitate that goal they have opened a show room, Billiards & Bars, located just off Routes 22 and 248 in Easton (Lehigh Valley) Pennsylvania. As a result the Joneses have designed an entire new line of tables to satisfy the changing tastes of todays homeowners.
