It all started in modest surroundings in 1980. The founder of the firm, Svend Kragh, saw the possibilities of establishing a company manufacturing toroidal transformers and chokes. With considerable knowledge of the field and more than a little optimism, TransElectro was started in an old workshop equipped for the purpose. During the initial period all efforts were directed at finding a niche, but because the products were of high quality the circle of customers expanded steadily and the need for expansion both as regards space and personnel became apparent relatively quickly. So already after 3 years the company moved to new and larger premises. As a natural step in the development of the firm, TransElectro was made into a limited company in 1986. The company is today owned by managing director Steen Dam Gravesen and sales manager Per Christensen. Gradually the production is directed towards a very wide spectrum within the electronics branch and we produce a large number of customer-specific items involving extremely high quality requirements.
