The Globalaunch Consulting Group Ltd. was founded in 2001 by organizations and professionals from international trade and investment, research and consulting and e-commerce. Globalaunch Consulting was formerly the International Consulting Division of East Best International Trading Ltd. which was founded in Hong Kong in 1990 by Mr. Tony Zhao as a major international business agent for many large Chinese state-owned import and export companies. East Best International Trading Ltd has also been a major importer and distributor of many world famous sewing machines, food processing equipments, cleaning machines, soft drinks, electronics and so on. East Best International set up its strategy consulting division in 1995 to serve international clients looking to invest in Mainland China. As a result of rapid development of the International Consulting Division, together with other investors East Best International Trading Ltd. set up The EMR Consulting Group Ltd. and the East Marketing Research (International) Ltd. in Hong Kong during 1997-1998 to particularly focus on business strategy and management consulting, international marketing research and strategic investment consulting. The EMR Consulting Group Ltd. set up the joint venture East Marketing Research (China) Ltd. in 1998 with Guangzhou East Marketing Research Institute, which was founded in 1992 as one of the first marketing research organizations in Mainland China. EMR China has been a major marketing service provider to many Fortune 500 companies and leading Chinese companies including Procter & Gamble China, Motorola, BMW, Hong Kong Tourism Board, and China Mobile, and so on in the past decade. EMR is a member of European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR), American Marketing Association (AMA) and China Marketing Research Association (CMRA) as well as other leading professional associations in the world. EMR set up its branch offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and other major cities and its agency network in 31 cities all around the country in the following few years. EMR (China) was ranked one of the top 10 market research firms in Mainland China in 2000.
